I originally trained for three years with the British Wheel of Yoga (through which I am fully insured) and have gone on to study with some truly gifted local and international teachers. Those that have been the greatest influence on me are Shiva Rea, Sarah Powers and Mark Whitwell. I have also undertaken additional pregnancy yoga teacher training with Uma Dinsmore-Tuli through the Life Centre in London. My current teacher is the wonderfully inspiring Claire Missingham with whom I have recently completed a 200 hour vinyasa flow teacher training. I am very passionate about yoga and respect the ancient lineage through which these teachings have come to us. As a yoga practitioner I believe it is important to remain open and inquistive and not become limited by a particular 'style'. As a teacher, this means I am better able to adapt practices to suit individual needs. Therefore in a class there is generally a wide range of experience, from newcomers, to those with many more years experience than me! Yoga is a personal journey of discovery and what I offer is simply my experience of these amazing ancient practices. I whole-heartedly beleive in making yoga relevant to 21st century living - in many ways yoga is needed now more than ever. As we learn to integrate body and mind it effects every aspect of our lives - we enjoy greater health and vitality and our social relationships and our relationship to the world around us is improved.
